Research notes and materials placed in files with them in the course of Pritchard's research constitute a sub-fonds, DC82/1, which constitutes the majority of the collection. Within this, series DC82/1/1 consists of research notes placed together in Box 1, while other series consist of files with obvious links between them, such as census notes and files on projects such as the Millennium Book, the history of Ham House, the history of the site of the Cassel Hospital and the Tollemache family and emigration from Ham to New Zealand. Files that could not be grouped with other files within the Research Notes sub-fonds are catalogued at file level directly below the sub-fonds.DC82/2 is a series consisting of old images collected by Pritchard, including postcards, prints of old photographs and copies of old images. It consists of two albums containing mainly postcards and one file containing copies of postcards and other images.DC82/3 is a series consisting of maps and plans (including original maps, copies of maps and tracings created by Pritchard) placed by Pritchard in files consisting wholly or mainly of maps and plans, or as individual items in the boxes.DC82/4 is an album of photographs taken by Pritchard in 1983-85, which is could not be related to any particular project, does not contain research notes and is distinct from old images collected by Pritchard, so was catalogued as a file directly below fonds level.DC82/5 is a series consisting of secondary research material placed by Pritchard in files, or as individual items in Boxes 3 and 4.

Evelyn Pritchard (1919-2005) lived in Ham from 1956 until her death. A research scientist in industrial chemistry for many years, she turned to researching the history of Richmond, particularly Ham and Petersham, and authored several books on the history of Ham and Petersham. Her books include 'Ham House and Its Owners Through Four Centuries 1610-2006', a Guide to the Street Names of Ham and Petersham, 'A Portrait of Ham in Early Victorian Times, 1840-1860' and 'The 1841 Emigrants from Ham to New Zealand'
