General notes:
The Richmond and Twickenham Times was founded in 1873 by Edward King. It became part of the Dimbleby Newspaper Group in 1874 when Frederick William Dimbleby joined with Edward King. The first Richmond and Twickenham Almanack was produced in 1885, and the Thames Valley Times, a mid-week edition of the paper, was launched in 1885. The Dimbleby family continued to be involved with the paper, with Frederick Jabez Dimbleby becoming editor in 1907, and David Dimbleby becoming Managing Director in 1966. The Thames Valley Times closed in 1978. The Richmond and Twickenham Times continues to be published [as of 2018].
