Nightingall [or Nightingale] is staying on Richmond Hill and writes to General Rojo at Rupell Farm near Watford as Mrs Meyrick said the General was staying there. Nightingall has recently returned from Calcutta via Bengal. In his last two years in India, he suffered regular attacks of 'the Bile'.
