Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley star in this historical drama directed by Chloé Zhao. A deep connection forms between William Shakespeare (Mescal) and Agnes Hathaway (Buckley) when they meet and the two soon marry. They have a daughter, Susanna (Bodhi Rae Breathnach), followed by twins Hamnet and Judith (Jacobi Jupe and Olivia Lynes). As William finds success in London, Agnes and the children remain in Stratford-upon-Avon but when the family suffers a devastating loss, William is compelled to write his greatest play yet. The cast also includes Emily Watson, Joe Alywn and Noah Jupe.
