Dwayne Johnson stars as former amateur wrestler and pioneering mixed martial arts fighter Mark Kerr in this sports drama written and directed by Benny Safdie. After he loses a fight, Kerr knows that he needs to change his behaviour. However, his attempts to overcome his drug addiction strain his already tumultuous relationship with his girlfriend Dawn Staples (Emily Blunt). As he focuses on training harder, he battles constant pain and must prepare to fight his close friend Mark Coleman (Ryan Bader) for the world championship. The cast also includes Satoshi Ishii, James Moontasri and Oleksandr Usyk.
