Francis Lawrence directs this dystopian horror thriller based on the novel by Stephen King. A group of young men including Raymond Garraty (Cooper Hoffman) and Peter McVries (David Jonsson) enter an annual televised walking contest in the hope of winning the prize money. However, this is no ordinary walk. Any participant who cannot maintain the required pace of three miles per hour will be executed by one of the soldiers accompanying them. With no chance for the men to rest, the walk will end when there is only of them left alive. As the participants begin to walk, many find a shared camaraderie together, but as the days pass their situation becomes increasingly bleak and brutal. The cast also includes Mark Hamill, Judy Greer and Ben Wang.
