Biography/History:
A former World Service radio producer, Lydia Syson was born in 1966 and educated at the universities of Oxford, Southampton and London. Her PhD thesis about Timbuktu in the 19th century English imagination sparked an interest in science and popular culture that led circuitously to Dr James Graham. She has four children and lives in London.
