ITV adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic. Reduced to poverty after the death of their father, Nicholas and Kate Nickleby (James D'Arcy and Sophia Myles) go to their wealthy and greedy Uncle Ralph (Charles Dance) asking for help. Nicholas then begins working at a boys' boarding school, but is shocked by the horrors he uncovers there. Continuing his journey in the world of men, our young hero faces many different obstacles and discouragements as he struggles to improve the lot of his beleaguered family.
