Supernatural thriller starring Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro and Cillian Murphy. A team of scientists led by psychologist Margaret Matheson (Sigourney Weaver) is dedicated to the study of paranormal activity, and in particular exposing the various scams and frauds of so-called mediums and parapsychologists. But when world-renowned psychic Simon Silver (De Niro) throws down the gauntlet and challenges the team to prove him a fake, the researchers soon find themselves far out of their depth.
