A lavish new production of George Eliot's tale of forbidden loves, jealousies and family rivalry. Maggie Tulliver, the daughter of a Mill owner (played by Bernard Hill), has a very close relationship with her brother. As they grow older they are forced apart by her wayward emotional ties to the son of the family's sworn enemy. Her desperate search for reconciliation can only lead to tragedy.
