This file contains 119 letters, most from Edward's wife Phyllis who writes about their two children, Rosalie and Rowan. The majority of her letters are addressed Whitton, Twickenham, though she spent the period between 08/06/1944 - 04/07/1945 in Porthmadog. One of the letters (30/05/1943) announces to him the birth of Rowan at Bearsted Hospital, Hampton. Some letters include drawings made by Rosalie.
Edward spent this time at various military bases: Bromfield (10/07/1941), Cardington (30/05/1942,, Skegness (13/06/1942), Duxford (04/08/1942), RAF Cosford (13/01/1943) and Wolverhampton (28/04/1943).
There are also some letters from other family members.
